I’ve worked as a bakery assistant, cleaner, telemarketer, receptionist, yoga instructor, university tutor, researcher and public servant. I’ve studied philosophy, Spanish and enough law to rethink my life choices, and I have a PhD in history from James Cook University, Townsville.
I co-wrote a feature length documentary film about gold mining in Guinea, West Africa, that won the First Appearance Award at the International Documentary Film Festival in Amsterdam in 2007. I’ve published short stories, poems and essays.
The Dying Flame is the first book in my young adult dark fantasy series, Darkfall.
I live in Canberra, the Australian Capital Territory, with my partner and son, where I drink tea and work on my stories.
